From her background in primary school education, Melissa recognised an increasing amount of pressure and demand on the young generation of today. She is passionate about offering sessions to kids and teens which help teach them how to deal with emotions and how to look after their body and minds - enabling them to live happy and healthy lives.

The aim of Starshine Yoga is to support the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, by offering fun, interactive and relaxing yoga and mindfulness sessions.

Meet Alex, who joined the Starshine Yoga teaching team in April 2023.

I am a mummy to 2 young children who keep me busy, alongside working part time as a Nursery Practitioner.

I’m a trained primary school teacher with a specialism in Early Years and Key Stage 1. I’ve worked in children’s centres and for play schemes for children with additional needs.

I’m passionate about providing our children with space and time to relax, have fun and learn about how amazing our bodies and brains can be! I’m so excited to be part of the Starshine Yoga team.

Victoria

Yoga Teacher

Meet Victoria, who joined the Starshine Yoga teaching team in September 2019.

I am mum to 2 children and have so much fun in bringing them both up! I enjoy all aspects of fitness and I’m always busy doing something. I have had experience working in the retail, legal and fitness industry and have enjoyed the variety and diversity of each.

I enjoy both the physical and mental benefits of being active and advocate this to my own children as well as those I teach. I believe it is important that being active isn’t seen as a chore but part of everyday life, so I love to make the sessions I teach fun and interesting for the children.
